Ukraine refuses to engage in peace talks with Russia

Russia has restarted its military operations after Ukraine refused to engage in peace talks with Russia, the Kremlin said on Saturday.

President Vladimir Putin had issued an order on Friday afternoon "to suspend the advance of the main Russian forces," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in Moscow.

"The Ukrainian side has refused to negotiate. This afternoon, the advance of the main Russian forces resumed in accordance with the operational plan."

Peskov said there were various incidents during the halt in Russian operations, including, in his words, "groups of neo-Nazis using light vehicles" as car bombs.
