French right-wing populist Marine Le Pen was re-elected as the leader of the far-right opposition party National Rally (RN) at a party conference in the southern city of Perpignan on Sunday.
She received 98.35 per cent of the vote, European Parliament member Jerome Riviere announced on Twitter.
The re-election of Le Pen - who has held the role for a good 10 years - was expected, as there were no opposing candidates.
Le Pen wants to run again in the French presidential election in nine months' time, when her main opponent is likely to be the incumbent, Emmanuel Macron. She already lost once to Macron, in 2017.
The party formerly known as the National Front recently failed in regional elections with its plan to win a region as a bastion of power for the presidential election, putting it in turmoil.
Le Pen attributed the defeat primarily to extremely low voter turnout.
