Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurated the newly built “Moulay Abdellah Stadium” in Rabat on Thursday afternoon, after its reconstruction on the site of the old stadium in a record time of just 18 months. It is the first of Morocco’s six stadiums to be made ready for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the Kingdom will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
The Crown Prince greeted all the workers, engineers, and supervisors involved in the stadium’s construction, which is considered one of the most modern football arenas in the world thanks to its impressive design, state-of-the-art facilities, and compliance with FIFA standards.

The stadium will host its first match tomorrow, Friday, with Morocco facing Niger in the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
During his visit, Prince Moulay El Hassan toured the stadium’s facilities and received explanations about its infrastructure. The stadium will also serve as a venue for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, to be hosted by Morocco later this year, including the opening match and the final.
Furthermore, it will be one of the main venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco will organize jointly with Spain and Portugal.
