Ghana is set to host the first African Paralympic Games scheduled for 2023, said the chairperson of the country's National Paralympic Committe (NPC-Ghana), Samson Deen, on Tuesday.
Ghana has begun preparations for the Games with the support of the ministry of Youth and Sports, he disclosed. "The government has been committed to offering the necessary support and logistics to make hosting of the African Paralympic Games in 2023 possible." According to Deen, about 50 African countries are expected to participate in this continental showpiece. "We will work to ensure a smooth and successful Games and give participants a memorable experience," Deen added.
