The Moroccan internationals, Souffian El Karouani and Munir Mohamedi, have tested positive to Covid-19, before the quarterfinal game, scheduled for next Sunday against Egypt, said Friday the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on its official website.
"In accordance with the health protocol in force, the players of the Moroccan national team have proceeded to a medical test this Friday morning, January 28, 2022, before the next match of the quarterfinals against Egypt," said the FMRF, adding that the results of these tests are negative for all players, except for Souffian El Karouani and Munir Mohamedi, who tested positive
The Moroccan soccer team had qualified for the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON-2021), after its victory against Malawi with a score of 2 goals to 1 last Tuesday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde.
