The national vaccination campaign in Morocco keeps on track, with almost 5 million people have received Covid-19 vaccine since Jan. 28, 2021 that marks the beginning of the campaign.
According to the daily report of the Ministry of Health issued Today at 4 p.m., the number of people who received the first dose has reached 4,985,094, while people who have been fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses) stands at 4,254,879.
These figures keep Morocco among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of the number of vaccinated populations, and still the first African nation to pass 1 million people received the vaccine.
In the last few days, the Kingdom of Morocco received another batch of Covid-19 vaccine from China, composed of 500 thousand Sinopharm vaccine doses, and expects to receive more vaccine batches in May, from China and from Russia.
The health authorities in Morocco seek to achieve herd immunity in the coming few months and to be among the first countries to recover from the pandemic.
