Morocco’s Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance (DGSN-DGST), Abdellatif Hammouchi, is on a working visit to Saudi Arabia from 8 to 12 February, accompanied by a large security delegation.
The visit, at the invitation of Saudi Arabia’s Head of State Security, Minister Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Howairini, coincides with the 3rd World Defense Show in Riyadh, the DGSN-DGST said in a statement.
Officials say the trip offers an opportunity to explore global integration in security and defense, examine the latest technical developments, and discuss advanced programmes and applications available to security and defence authorities, with the aim of promoting international security and stability.
On the sidelines of the event, Hammouchi held bilateral talks with Saudi security officials to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in security and intelligence, as well as mechanisms for mutual technical assistance.
The DGSN-DGST statement added that the visit underscores Morocco’s commitment to modernisation and innovation in security and to strengthening strategic security partnerships with friendly countries.
