Morocco centinues its successful national vaccination campaign against Covid-19, in which it has surpassed the number of 15 million fully vaccinated people.
according to the Ministry of Health in its daily report on the Covid-19 epidemiological situation that was issued today, the number of people who got the first shot is 18,701,155, while that of fully vaccinated people (1st and 2nd doses) amounts to 15,020,548.
The same source said that a total of 6,020 new cases of coronavirus infection (Covid-19) and 7,057 recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours.
The new figure brings to 866,968 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported in Morocco in March 2020. The number of people who have recovered has risen to 800,664, a recovery rate of 92.4%.
As for deaths, their total number rose to 12,749 (fatality rate of 1.5%), with 100 new cases recorded.
The number of active cases is 53,555, while severe or critical cases reached 2,362, of which 58 are placed under intubation.
