Morocco starts repatriation of its nationals from Sudan

Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has given instruction to ensure the repatriation of Moroccans from Sudan, a statement issued by Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

The same source added that, in the first phase, the Moroccan Embassy in Sudan organized a land caravan from the capital Khartoum towards Port-Sudan City for more than 200 Moroccan nationals whose presence coincided with the emergency situations in Sudan.

The King of Morocco has also given instructions to make an air bridge in coordination with the Moroccan Royal Air to secure the return of the stranded Moroccans in Sudan, the statement pointed out.

Foreign Ministry in the same statement assured that the land convoy to transfer more than 200 Moroccans from the Capital Khartoum reached Port-Sudan safely.
