The partnership between Moroccan and Israeli universities and research institutions was the focus of a meeting, Monday in Rabat, between Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Abdellatif Miraoui and Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation, Issawi Frej, who is on a working visit to Morocco.
During this meeting, the two parties discussed cooperation in the fields of new technologies, digitalization and artificial intelligence, in addition to the training of new generation doctoral students, and the exchange of students, expertise and knowledge.
In a statement to the press, Miraoui said that the rapprochement between the Moroccan and Israeli universities will have a favorable echo among Moroccan students and will contribute to establishing cooperation links between the institutions of higher education of both countries.
For his part, Frej said that the talks focused on the rapprochement between Morocco and Israel in the field of promoting scientific research through a student exchange and grant programs.
The Israeli official also noted that Morocco plays an important role in the Middle East region, given the place enjoyed by the Kingdom among the Jewish, Muslim and Arab communities in the region.
