Morocco, Colombia Vow to Build Solid Partnership between Economic Operators

Vice President and Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Colombia, Marta Lucia Ramírez and President of the Moroccan Employers' Association (CGEM), Chakib Alj, affirmed their willingness to build a strong and win-win economic and trade partnership.

At a meeting held Friday in Casablanca, the two parties stressed that this partnership will allow Moroccan and Colombian companies to access new markets, whether in Africa or Latin America, said the CGEM in a statement.

Alj also welcomed "the exemption of visa between Morocco and Colombia announced by Ramirez," on an official visit to Morocco, added the statement.

"This initiative is likely to further promote economic and trade cooperation between economic operators of the two countries whose economies have several complementarities, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, pharmaceutical industry, renewable energy or technology and innovation," noted the CGEM.

At the end of this meeting, it was agreed that the CGEM leads, "soon" in Bogota, a delegation of Moroccan business leaders, to explore opportunities for cooperation and create new synergies, concluded the statement.
