A working meeting intended to explore the economic potentialities and the various investment opportunities offered by the Marrakech-Safi region was held Thursday in Marrakech between the Wali of Marrakech-Safi region, governor of the prefecture of Marrakech, Karim Kassi Lahlou, and the Portuguese ambassador to Morocco, Bernardo Futscher Pereira.
During this meeting, the Portuguese diplomat welcomed the excellence and depth of the longstanding relations binding Rabat and Lisbon, as well as the sustained progress and development experienced by the Kingdom in general, and the city of Marrakech in particular, with promising investment prospects in various sectors.
For his part, the Wali of the region shed light on the numerous investment opportunities offered by the region in different sectors, in particular Marrakech as an essential economic and tourist center for foreign investors, expressing the determination and commitment of local authorities to support foreign investments, in particular Portuguese investments.
Talks focused on the investment opportunities offered by the region in several areas, including agriculture, industry and tourism, as well as its assets and its civilizational and cultural characteristics.
