Moroccan delegation arrives in Israel to start diplomatic representation

A Moroccan delegation arrived today in Israel to start the official diplomatic representation of Morocco in Israel as part of the resumption of diplomatic ties between them.

The Israeli foreign ministry announced through Twitter the arrival of the Moroccan delegation led by Abdelrahim Byoud (in the middle of the picture), who is appointed to occupy the position of the head of the Moroccan liaison office in Israel.

The Israeli ministry of foreign welcomed the Moroccan delegation's arrival and said in its tweet that Morocco and Israel "are making history."

The tweet added that Mr. Abdelrahim Byoud said that he was delighted when he learned his appointment in the position.

The arrival of the Moroccan delegation to Israel came after two weeks from the arrival of the Israeli delegation in Morocco led by David Govrin, who is appointed as the head of the Israeli liaison office.

The two steps come after Morocco and Israel signed the US-brokered deal for peace last December to resume the relation between Morocco and Israel.

Under the peace agreement, Morocco and Israel intend to collaborate in various fields, including trade, tourism, agriculture, technology, and innovation.
