Israel to Join Marrakech Air Show With Eight Companies: A Look at Their Most Powerful Weapons

Eight Israeli defense companies are expected to participate in the Marrakech Air Show, scheduled for October 7–10 at the Royal Moroccan Air Force base in Marrakech, according to data collected by Assahifa English. Their portfolios include long-range missiles, precision-guided bombs and attack drones, alongside military navigation, targeting and communications technologies.

The companies identified are Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Elbit Systems, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, XTEND, Shilat, UVision, Asio Technologies and Orbit Technologies. IAI has directly confirmed its attendance, while Orbit’s official events calendar lists its participation at booth A3 within the Israeli defense pavilion.

Among the most significant weapons associated with the delegation is IAI’s LORA precision-strike missile, which the company explicitly plans to showcase in Marrakech. According to its manufacturer, the ground- or ship-launched missile has a range of 90–430 kilometers and can strike fortified targets. IAI’s announced exhibition portfolio also includes the Heron MK II drone, air-defense solutions and communications satellites.

Elbit Systems’ long-range weapons include Predator Hawk, a precision-guided artillery rocket capable of reaching targets up to 300 kilometers away, according to company specifications. It can be fired from the PULS multiple rocket launcher, which accommodates several types of ammunition. Reporting reviewed by Assahifa identifies PULS among Elbit’s planned exhibits, alongside precision-guidance kits and unmanned systems, although a Predator Hawk display has not been specifically confirmed.

Rafael’s portfolio includes SPICE 2000, a guidance kit that converts a 2,000-pound-class bomb into a precision strike weapon with a published stand-off range of 60 kilometers. Another major product, ICE BREAKER, combines a 300-kilometer range with a 250-pound warhead, according to Rafael’s technical brochures. SPICE 2000 guides a heavier bomb, while ICE BREAKER offers substantially greater reach. Neither system’s display in Marrakech has been confirmed in the material reviewed by Assahifa.

UVision manufactures the HERO 1250, which it describes as its largest HERO strategic loitering munition, with a 50-kilogram warhead and a published flight range of 200 kilometers. Such weapons can remain airborne before striking a target. XTEND’s offerings include X-Strike, a modular warhead package for small drones. Both products belong to the companies’ wider portfolios; their participation announcements do not establish that these particular systems will appear at the show.

The delegation also includes suppliers of supporting military technologies. Shilat produces laser seekers used in guided ammunition, Asio develops navigation systems that allow drones to operate without satellite positioning, and Orbit supplies military satellite communications equipment. The eight companies therefore represent a mix of weapons manufacturers and technology suppliers, with details of their individual exhibits still incomplete beyond the systems already publicly announced.
