Several provinces in Morocco are expected to witness heavy rainfall, snowfall, and strong wind gusts, on Sunday and Monday, according to a weather alert from the country's Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
The source added that an intense rainfall measuring between 20 and 40 millimeters is expected from Sunday at 10:00 a.m. until 11 p.m. in Tetouan, Mdi'q-Fnideq, Al Hoceima, El Hajeb, Taza, Sefrou, Boulemane, Ifrane, and Taounate.
Guercif, Figuig, Jerada, Taourirt, Boulemane, Tinghir, Midelt, Errachidia, Zagora, and Ouarzazate should prepare for strong wind gusts ranging between 75 to 90 km/h from Sunday at 9 am to Monday at 6 am.
The alert specified that snowfall measuring between 10 to 25 centimeters would hit the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Tinghir.
