First Casablanca-Tel Aviv Flight Postponed over Omicron New Variant

Royal Air Maroc's first flight between Casablanca and Tel Aviv, initially scheduled for December 12, 2021, is postponed to a later date, due to the evolution of the health situation, the national flag carrier announced on Monday.

This postponement comes after the Moroccan authorities' decision to suspend all direct passenger flights to the Kingdom, for a period of two weeks, due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 new variant Omicron, explains RAM in a statement.

To this end, Royal Air Maroc is set to assist its customers in managing their travel. Customers will be able, if they wish, to postpone their trip to a later date (until January 31, 2022), with no penalty and with possible application of fare difference.

Travelers may also cancel their flights in exchange for a credit note of the same value of the ticket, which will be valid for a period of twelve months and to be used exclusively on the company's flights.

For more information, Royal Air Maroc invites its customers to inquire about these commercial arrangements at the following numbers: Morocco: 089000 080; International: +212522489797.

The new direct air route will connect Casablanca to Israel's Tel Aviv at an initial frequency of three flights per week, which will be increased to five flights in a later phase, recalls the company.
