US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, had a conversation on Tuesday, with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, on the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Blinken said in a tweeter post that he “spoke with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita about the importance of restoring calm in Israel and the West Bank and Gaza to prevent further loss of life.”
Blinken in the same post highlighted the importance of Morocco as a strategic partner, adding that Morocco and The United State “will work together to end this conflict.”
This statement came after Morocco’s moves at the international level to mobilize support in order to end the escalation of tension between Israel and Palestine, as the Israeli air attacks still bombard the Gaza Strip.
The victims of Israeli attacks on Gaza have reached almost 2 hundred people, most of them are children and women.
The confrontations between Israel and Palestinian have started a week ago, due to Israeli extremists who attempted to enter the Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem amid categorical rejection from Palestinians.
Hamas group in Gaza responded to Israeli aggressions in Jerusalem by launching a number of local-made rockets on territories occupied by Israel, then the Israeli army has started its deadly attacks on Gaza Strip.
The situation between the two parties still in tense, while international moves lead by Morocco and other countries intend to end the conflict.
