Bank credit to the non-financial sector maintained its year-on-year growth rate of 4.1% in November 2021, according to Morocco's Central Bank (Bank Al-Maghrib -BAM).
This rise reflects an increase of 4% in November after 3.9% in October of credits to private non-financial companies and an increase of 5% in loans to households, explains BAM which has published its key indicators of monetary statistics for November 2021.
The breakdown by economic object of the credits allocated to the non-financial sector shows an increase in cash facilities of 9.6% after 8.8%, a decrease in equipment loans of 1.4% after 1.7% in October and an increase in consumer loans and real estate loans respectively of 2.3% after 1.5% and 2.8% after 3%.
With regard to outstanding loans, their annual growth rate fell to 5.8% in November after 6.9% in October, notes BAM, noting that in these conditions, the rate of outstanding loans stood at 8.8%.
On a month-on-month basis, bank credit to the non-financial sector remained at almost the same level as in October, with an increase in equipment loans of 0.9% and in real estate and consumer loans of 0.2% and 0.5% respectively, as well as a decrease in liquidity facilities of 1.1%.
