A Moroccan government source said in an exclusive statement to Assahifa Arabic, that Morocco will communicate with Algeria in order to offer its assistance in extinguishing the fires that are sweeping many regions in the north and east of Algeria.
When asked if this communication took place, the government source responded that "We will communicate with the Algerian authorities for this, and we will put Morocco's capabilities at their disposal."
The fires swept through 14 states in the Tizi Ouzou , in the Kabylie region, covering thousands of hectares of forest and reaching homes and private property.
In the latest Algerian official toll, the number of victims of these fires rose to more than 40 people, most of them were soldiers who helped put out the fires.
