Reports: Iranian Missile Strike in Kuwait Injures Americans as Trump Reviews Ceasefire Proposal

Several Americans were reportedly injured following an Iranian missile attack targeting an air base in Kuwait, according to a report by the New York Post citing Bloomberg News and unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

The reported strike targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base, a key military facility used by the United States in Kuwait. Sources quoted by Bloomberg said the injuries sustained by American contractors and military personnel were minor and occurred after Kuwaiti air defense systems intercepted an incoming Fateh-110 missile.

The report added that debris from the interception caused significant damage to two MQ-9 Reaper drones stationed at the base. Neither US Central Command nor Kuwaiti authorities immediately confirmed the details of the incident.

The developments come as US President Donald Trump considers a new proposal from Tehran aimed at extending a ceasefire and reopening diplomatic channels. According to the New York Post, the proposal includes a 60-day truce, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial navigation, and renewed negotiations over Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for easing US restrictions.

Trump reportedly met with senior national security officials on Friday and said he would soon make a “final determination” regarding the proposal.

Meanwhile, US military officials have signaled continued readiness across the region. Speaking at a defense conference in Singapore, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Washington remained prepared to respond if necessary, while US Central Command released images showing American air and naval assets operating in the Middle East.

The reported missile strike and ongoing military movements underscore the fragile security environment in the Gulf as diplomatic efforts continue amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran.
