It also reflects the convergence of the visions of King Mohammed VI and Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye in support of African cooperation based on complementarity, value creation and sustainable partnerships.
The Embassy highlighted the momentum in Moroccan-Senegalese relations, reinforced by the work of the Joint Grand Commission and the Morocco-Senegal Economic Forum, held on January 26 and 27, 2026, in Rabat and Casablanca, respectively.
Both events placed particular emphasis on expanding trade, promoting investment and strengthening partnerships between economic operators from the two countries.
The upcoming meeting will take place at the Residence of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Dakar, bringing together Moroccan and Senegalese business leaders, representatives of relevant institutions and government administrations, as well as experts in business law and local content.
Discussions will address practical issues related to developing business relations, including OHADA legal mechanisms, legal certainty in business transactions, and the requirements and opportunities associated with local content.
Participants will also examine Senegal’s legal and economic environment and the Establishment Convention signed between Morocco and Senegal in 1964.
The meeting aims to encourage direct dialogue between partners, facilitate the exchange of experiences and identify new opportunities for cooperation and investment.
It will also seek to strengthen ties between Moroccan and Senegalese business communities, paving the way for greater integration of value chains.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to advance African economic integration and promote South-South partnerships, with Morocco and Senegal seeking to build on their longstanding ties to expand mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
