Morocco Elected to Chair Arab League's Permanent Information Commission

The Kingdom of Morocco was elected to chair the Permanent Arab Information Commission, which operates under the Arab League, during elections held Monday in Cairo on the sidelines of the 166th League’s Council at the ministerial level.

Morocco, represented by Moustapha Amdjar, Director of Media Relations at the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication (Department of Communication), was elected to chair this Standing Committee of the Arab League.

This election reflects the trust put in Morocco within the framework of joint Arab action, as well as recognition of the Kingdom’s role and contributions to strengthening media cooperation and coordination among Arab countries.

The Council of Arab Ministers of Information, under the League of Arab States, approved last November Rabat as the Arab Information Capital for the year 2026.

The Kingdom was also elected as a member of the Administrative Tribunal of the League of Arab States, represented by Fatima Tazi, an advisor to the Court of Cassation, during elections held on the sidelines of the 166th League’s Council.
